Your God is Too Small!

The ancient Greek and Roman gods had limited control. They would vie for power with other gods and sometimes even with mortals, who could frustrate their plans, to the detriment of their worshipers. One example is from Homer’s epic poem The Iliad when Zeus, the supreme god, is seduced and distracted by the goddess Hera as she helps the Greeks in the Trojan War.
