Experiencing Christ Together
The invasion of Ukraine remains much on our hearts and minds. It’s heartbreaking: Bombs destroying apartment complexes and homes; civilian casualties (even children); cities surrounded with no power and no water; over 1.5 million have fled the country.
In the midst of the chaos, I’ve seen a beautiful picture of the church. On the day of the invasion, a small church in central Ukraine gathered to pray and worship. I saw a picture taken from their service: someone with a guitar; some with heads bowed; some with hands raised in worship.
When Christians gather together, God’s grace gives them strength. This is because when we gather, we experience Christ together. We experience the One who is our refuge and strength, who heals our wounds, who fills us with peace and joy even in the worst circumstances. Evan during an invasion.
