Gospel of John

“He will glorify me” (John 16:14).

Following Jesus is hard, but the Holy Spirit is our Helper in times of trial and persecution.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friend” (John 15:13).

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love” (John 15:9).

Christians are desperately needy people, and our heavenly Father abundantly provides for all our needs through the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper.

On the night Jesus is handed over to suffering and death, he desires to comfort his disciples with these words: “Let not your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1).

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

Jesus sets his people free from selfishness to serve each other gladly.

As Jesus washes his disciples’ feet, he displays his heart and he pictures the salvation he gives.

John wrote his Gospel so that you would worship Jesus!
